New road trip! I'm studly again! Worship me!

Ok, I'm riding my bike to Thunder Bay, Ontario. There is not much to do there, except hike and fish and be polite, since it's Canada. But...get this...on the official Thunder Bay website, under the tourism links, is a list of upcoming activities and festivals in the city. Well, on September 26, 2009 from 1-3 pm, is....are you ready...wait...wait for...it...GOALBALL! Here is a description and some rules.

At first, when reading the rules, I thought, "Well, it's Canada. You have to be all inclusive and polite, even when trying to win a game. There are penalties for "excessive noise." But, then, it's blindfolded soccer with bells and blind people probably do better than sighted people. Then I read further: "Audio Network provides live audio and video broadcast coverage of international competitions. Archives of past broadcasts are available including the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, Lakeshore Foundation IGC Classic from Spartanburg, South Carolina and the Men's InterCup from Sweden. PA Goalball provides coverage of the sport in Pennsylvania."

WHUUUUHHHHH!????! International competition? The IGC Classic from SOUTH CAROLINA? SWEDEN? PENNSYLVANIA! Live radio coverage? Where have I been living all these years?

So, I'm going to see the Thunder Bay GoalBall tourny, and I'm going to pretend I'm there on September 26. Happy late birthday, Jamee.

I rode 20 miles in the last two days, so I've marked the map. Now, Chicago is a big city and I didn't make it very far through town. But if you look at the city map, you will notice a very good thing. If I get run over by a mob controlled garbage truck in city traffic or wasted by the corrupt Chicago political machine, they can just take me to Resurrection Medical Center and everything will be just fine. On the other other hand, if they left me for dead, I could either vote, or become a United States Senator or maybe even the POTUS.

I'm going to post my progress on the push ups plan. I am also posting to the actual website. Unless I am accountable, I will not persevere. Today, I finished my Week 1 work out with:

Push ups: 15
Sit ups: 30
Squats: 25
Curls: 20 (I added them, at the same rate as push ups, with light weight)

I feel a lot better already. I don't know how the women manage to keep their hands off me, but somehow they do. They must be paragons of self-discipline. Certainly not paramours of self-discipline. That would be contradictory, yesiree.
