I miss my dad.

Today I have outlived my dad. He was 51, this many months, and this many days old when he died and I am, too. It's a sobering thought.

But I don't smoke, and I am exercising and eating right.

In many ways, I'm a better man than he was, but in many I am not half the man he was.

I wish he were here.

I love you, Dad.

If your dad were here and he heard these words, he would probably say something like, "Brian, you are a much bigger man than I could ever hope to be, and probably a better man as well!" Seriously though, he is a good man who raised great sons and he I'd missed. Keep up the good work as acting patriarch.

I miss Grandpa Goofy almost every day! I miss Gramma Connie too.

Sometimes, I feel them very near.

Sometimes, I can't wait until we can all see eachother together-at the SAME TIME!!!

Amen to both Cynthia's and Jamee's comments. You, Danny and Bri-Da-Duane are three of the noble and great ones prophecied in the
Book of Abraham. And you're noble and great in part because your noble and great parents raised you well. The other part is because you are YOU! You've made good choices, and when you've screwed up, you've gotten back up, repented, dusted yourselves off, patched up your knees, and learned from those falls to make better choices.

And so it goes... and I'm thankful for all three of you and for all who married you and sprang from your loins! :-) (dang, I'm poetic...)

I'm SO glad you've outlived your dad. He is too! Keep on living a very, very long time, ok?
