A new era

I have this feeling. It started last week, small. It's been building since then. It's a feeling of anticipation and joy. Then I start getting calls and messages from my children and hearing things about their children and lives. Slowly, this feeling has grown into looking forward with happy anxiety to what else is in store. We have had our share of troubles and sad anxiety over the last couple years. I have this feeling the Lord is doing to bless us all in a big way, in our own individual ways, and in a collective family way, sooner than later. So enjoy the ride, it just gets better.

This week I didn't do so good on WW and gained some weight. But I know why, and am fixing it. Point is, I've been in WW for 16 weeks and lost a total of 21 pounds. That's about 1.33 pounds per week, which is really quite good. Over the long haul, you should expect to lose between 1 and 2 pounds per week. Too slow and you get discouraged, too fast and you yo-yo and it's not permanent. So I'm losing at a rate which enables me to get used to it, and then move on down some more. And I still remember what it was like to be so big I could not tie my shoes or walk a mile in the park. Never again.

I have ridden a total of 2,518 miles into Wyoming now. Cool.

Tonight I got a call from a sister in the ward, asking if I could come and help her husband give their son a blessing. Sure. It was 8 pm. I said I was working midnights and so let me get showered and changed and I'll be over about 8:45. Ok. Got in the shower and about fainted. Dizzy, nausea, and headache. I made it out, but I told Cindy she had to drive me. I had promised this family and I needed to fulfill. On the way over, we had to pull over so I could (almost) puke. when we got there I was in the worst cold sweat and they spotted it right away. I was asked to give the blessing and had to have the sister steady my back so i wouldn't fall over. Then the brother told me to sit down. He gave me a blessing and told me I'd get better almost immediately. I nearly fainted going out to the car. Cindy drove me home and I called them to let them know I was ok. I came into work at midnight, and am still a bit dizzy now and then, with a touch of nausea, but the headache is gone. Almost immediately. It was prophetic.

Might be food poisoning from Golden Corral this morning with Loni. I ate meat and she did not.

Oh. Golden Corral did that to Zack and me before--does it stop me? No. :) Anyway, I was thinkin'...while you're at it, you should ride your bike up to Juneau. You'd love it. Besides, this is the best way to do it without being stuck in the rain. What say you?

What say I? You sound like you are CAUTION! entering THE no spin zone.

I say, that would be a great ride to Vancouver, BC, then load the bike on a ship and go to Juneau, since there are no roads there. Then ride around the town for a few days, then load it on a plane and head home.

If money were no object I'd do just that. I am trying to ride it out to the family reunion next summer.

Good things to come eh?

I'll tell you what- I've had the same feelings going on. And I know who is watching over us and helping along the way!! Did Loni tell you about my experience?

I'm not sure if she did. Did you get my email about someone wanting to be email pals with O?
