Cub scouts, weather, and only in these parts
Rode 20 miles to Kisbey, Saskatchewan. Just shy of Forget, Saskatchewan. See the map above. Forget, Saskatchewan. I say amen to that. No offense to the Saskatchewanians. The Saskatchewanish. Whatever.
***************
I got asked a couple months ago to teach 50 cub scouts in Abingdon, VA about weather for their belts. Great! I love doing that. It's going to be held at the Harry L. Coomes Recreation Center in town. Nice place. Lots to do in Abingdon. Martha Washington spent time there growing up. The Martha Washington Inn is wonderful place to eat, expensive, but outstanding. The Barter Theatre is there, with a different play every night. People come from all over North America and Europe with season tickets.
We had a room, the lady in charge of the cubs said to me two months ago, in the recreation center. I called her today to finalize things and she informed me that the room had been taken away from them and so we are meeting, fifty cub scouts, their parents, leaders, and me, under an awning attached to the side of the building next to an outlet. I guess so that, besides melting in the heat and humidity at 5:30 pm, we can also be more easily rained on and struck by lightning with the metal roof and electricity.
I'll shut it down, I swear I will. "Here's your first lesson boys: adults are stupid. Now go get inside the building."

And Cindy lost 1.5 pounds, which is outstanding for her tiny self. She is past her plateau. I have such a sexy wife. (That was just to gross out her children...)
