Back in the saddle
Went riding today, out to Dandridge on the back roads. Passed through a bunch of tree tunnels with blooming magnolias, long hedges of fragrant honeysuckle, and beautiful wild raspberries with deep red fruit. Was so gorgeous. Saw the Great Smoky Mountains with smoky clouds hanging over their peaks, and all was good. Even the people in front of me were doing 70 in a 55 so I didn't have to pass them on a double yellow line in curvy, hilly roads. Kidding. Well, they WERE going fast with nobody on my tail. Perfect.
Then I came home and rode my bike for the first time in about four weeks. Rode 16 miles for a total of 1,793 from home, to Bloom, Manitoba. That's a storm near Bloom up there. Very nice. While I watched Mythbusters. It just doesn't get much better than this. Also, I was very productive today at work so that my 9 hour day went very fast. I am looking forward to my day off on Friday, which my boss informed me I need to work about nine hours on, the entire time with him. Yippee. Tomorrow, I am going to Chattanooga for a TV weather event. At least that will be fun, if long.
So, been reading "Believing Christ", the Doctrine and Covenants, and I tried to read Les Miserables and was loving it. But then I bought the book on itunes and made dang sure I did not get the abridged version, but it seems that's all there is. Pi.....I mean it made me mad.
Anyway, I'm sorry I have not been reading all your blogs. I've just been so exhausted from 60 hour weeks and busy days off and then I got bronchitis for three days last weekend on my one true weekend off.

And I am sorry I haven't called you. I keep meaning to I swear. I will try to this weekend. I always talk to mom on Saturday morning. so you should stick around if you can so I can say hi to you too.
That's ok, Stevie. Really it is. We are so busy. And I just worked 28 of 32 hours straight and had no sleep and I want to go to bed but I'm too tired. I will probably sleep in Saturday. Sunday is Mom's birthday and so we'll be around then to talk.
