Rode ten miles because it's the right thing to do, not because I wanted to. Felt horrible riding, and then felt horrible after doing it. Oh, well. Rode to near Spooner, WI. If you want to know more about Spooner, WI, read on. If not, skip this:
"The city's nickname is 'Crossroads of the North', a reference to the fact that the city is at the junction of two U.S. highways, 53 and 63, and State Highway 70...
Since 1954, each summer in July, Spooner has hosted the Heart of the North Rodeo, which draws thousands of fans to the area. In addition to the rodeo each evening, there is a Saturday afternoon parade, live music every night, and the cowboy church service on Sunday morning, held outdoors at the rodeo arena. Since its inception, the Barnes PRCA Rodeo has been coming to the Heart of the North Rodeo, making it the longest continuous association between a rodeo and a stock contractor in PRCA history."
Well. There you go. Quite a record. By the same logic, Morristown could be "Crossroads of the Something Else" because we sit at the intersection of two US Highways: 11 and 25, and near several state highways. So.

For Thanksgiving, Cindy and I drove two days out to Denver to see our families, but also to pick up some items that belonged to my Mom. She bestowed on me her old Victrola, a wind up record player with records from her family. I'm not sure of the entire history of it. I'll do some research. We also got some old memorabilia. She actually had journals which nobody knew of. I'll include some of her writings when I get a chance. We had a great trip seeing everyone. Ate dinner Heidi's family. We say "Blind Side" twice while out there. Great movie. Go see it. Even watched Michael Oher play football for the Ravens a bit Sunday night.
Oh, and on the way out, Cindy had lost her voice from laryngitis. When she wanted to say something to me, she texted me. Then I spoke back to her. Then she texted her reply, etc. Ain't technology grand?
"Why do you love me? Why do you need me? Always and forever.
We met in a chatroom, now our love can fully bloom.
Sure the world wide web is great, but you, you make my salivate.
I love technology, but not as much as you, you see.
But I STILL love technology.
Always and forever. Our love is like a flock of doves, flying up to heaven above. Always and forever, always and forever.
Why do you need me? Why do you love me? Always and forever..."

I have a school talk tomorrow. Four sixth grade classes at Mosheim Middle School. That is, four talks. They always wear me out, then I have kung fu tomorrow night.
