Thoughts on a Friday

Got up early. CPAP dried me out. Snored and Cindy woke me up. Sorry, hon.

Yesterday, we took the kids to "Jump Man Jump!" where kids can play inside those giant covered balloons, jumping up and down. It was a bit cheesy, but they loved it. I have put a couple pictures here. Have a video for when we get home and I can download it.

This is Brigham and his cousin Emma.

When you tell Brigham to smile, he does. He does everything with all his might. Except walk. He hates walking. He wants to be carried everywhere or else ride on your shoulders. But if you tell him, "Let's walk silly all the way to the store", he will and think nothing of it. I'm still smarter than a three year old, about the same as Carter and Olivia is smarter than us all. The other day I was watching an episode of Mythbusters and she walked in and said, "GRANDPA! You're watching Mythbusters without me!?" and sat down with me for three episodes.

This is Olivia, their cousin Caleb, and Carter. They stood ALMOST still just long enough to capture them on camera. However, my shutter speed on my phone is not quite fast enough to actually capture them in a still frame, since they were still jiggling around like they were little kids on Red Bull. They were not, just acting like it.

Carter loves to play with Brigham. They get along pretty well most of the time. You can't expect brothers to always hit it off, but really, they are incredible. Carter has the greater imagination at this point and so sets up the play, and Briggs jumps in.

The other day, I called Carter "dude". He said, "I don't wike to be cawwed dude. I don't wike to be cawwed othuh names." "Oh, sorry, kiddo. What do you like to be called?" "Cawteh. Just Cawteh." "Ok, Carter. Sorry, pal. Is that better?" He nodded. I love that little guy.
