I kicked up my running today. Since my ipod pooped out on me yesterday and I had to count steps instead of running/walking by time, I found out today that I really didn't have as tough a workout as I could have had.
Today I took my phone and used the stop watch on it. I ran for sixty seconds, walked for ninety, etc. I was running counterclockwise around the trail, and the high school cross country runners were running against me clockwise. And I mean they were running. Sprinting. And I was trudging, lingering, plodding, floundering, galumphing, slogging, stumbling, dragging, flopping, waddling, wobbling, pounding, shambling. Did I mention trudging?
But I finished, so I'm listing my best official times at the top. And there is no way I'm running Wednesday. My shins hurt.
But I did it. In fact, it looks like I'll pass 3000 miles tomorrow or Thursday.
