I have reached SLC. I-15 and the 1300 South exit. 20 more miles to Stevie's house. I can't wait.
I went running today. First time in Sparks. Over 4500 feet. Thought I was gonna die the first half. I ran all the way the second half back. Like I said, I am a slow runner, but I do move faster than if I were walking. I improved my time by 14 seconds. The feeling in my legs below my knees disappeared after the first half mile, and then returned the last half mile. The disappearance of feeling was a blessing as they hurt so badly before that. Plus, the air is much thinner than I have become accustomed to. I am used to slightly humid air, or very humid air, thick and soupy. Muddy track, not sidewalks. I also need to get lighter shoes than the gimongous tennis shoes I have, if I want to run. I guess I could actually lose weight, but I'd rather start with buying lighter shoes and running naked because it's not as difficult as eating less food.
We are having a blast here. Olivia organizes all the imagination activities, Carter runs runs runs everywhere, and Brigham just smiles and acts cute. Cindy handles the jump rope end, Loni is dragged around by a rope when they want to train a dragon, and I chase and play scary monster. Until someone pees their pants and then we take a break. Hey, it's my job.
Grandma Lawton came over today and will spend a few days here. She just arrived a few minutes ago. She handed me a bad to carry in and said, "Here, carry this. It's heavy." I handed it to Carter, who carried it in one-handed and barefoot. I had to laugh at Mom. She had given everyone basically a pillow or a sheet to carry in, each. I got away with just walking behind and laughing at everyone. Hey, it's my job.

Well, it does seem as though your are taking "your job" seriously, at least, or at most. If you had not included the running, I would be forced to make a wisecrack about the laziness, but you dodged that bullet.
Yes, I dodged it, but not very quickly. I sort of just lumbered off to the side and let it go by.
I do have to add that your wisecrack about running naked in lighter shoes, seemed to bring the "galumphing" into it's own somehow.
Dang it, I meant to say "the word 'galumphing'". I really should not type before 7:00 AM!
I love that ya'll are in reno having so much fun. And I hate that I am not there, too. I can't wait to bring Beau to Tennessee for New Years, though! Love you. And sorry, again, for calling you at 5:30am reno time...totally forgot you were there. Whoops.
Stevie, I knew after I asked you if everything was ok, that you were thinking, "Well, it's 8:30 in Tennessee, I can call now." That's ok. I got a little nap later.
