I was just now reading in 1 Nephi 1 and came across this account of Lehi's problems in Jerusalem, in verses 5 to the end. Lehi is a type of Joseph Smith.
Comparison
Lehi prayed to God
Joseph prayed to God
God appeared to Lehi in a pillar of fire
God appeared to Joseph
Lehi was overcome with fatigue and the Spirit after this vision
Joseph had the same feelings after visitations of Moroni
Lehi sees Jesus and his apostles
Joseph establishes Jesus' apostles again
Lehi receives a book, reads by the Spirit of God
Joseph receives a book from Moroni by Spirit of God
Lehi discovers that Jerusalem will be destroyed if they are unfaithful
Joseph discovers that the Gentiles will be destroyed if they are unfaithful
Lehi rejoiced and prophesied in his vision
Joseph rejoiced and prophesied in his vision
After vision, Lehi begins to share it
After vision, Joseph begins to share it
Jews tried to kill Lehi because he testified of the Messiah and that their works were not true
Sectarians tried to kill Joseph because he testified of the Messiah and their works were not true
Lehi was saved by God to complete his work
Joseph was saved by God to complete his work
Other than this bit of revelatory flash, for which I am grateful to the God, today was quiet. This morning I had a run in with Charter Comms on the phone because they are stupid. Utterly stupid. And incompetent. And stupid. Then Loni drove me to run some errands and it as so nice to just visit with her. I took her out to Asian House for sushi and that was very nice. Very good company and good sushi.
Then I came home and tried to sleep some. Slept too much this evening because now I have to try and get to bed and get up early so Loni can take me to the doc's to see about getting my pins out. Hope I can. I'm sick of this.

And I just read this on the Wall Street Journal opinion site, by James Taranto:
"An Atrocious Sentence, but No Crime
This almost seems unsporting, but we can't resist. From a New York Times editorial on the Justice Department's decision to drop its investigation of Tom DeLay:
Mr. DeLay, the Texas Republican who had been the House majority leader, crowed that he had been "found innocent." But many of Mr. DeLay's actions remain legal only because lawmakers have chosen not to criminalize them.
By the same logic, the New York Times editorialists are not in the dock only because "criminal stupidity" is a figure of speech and not an actual law."
