Busy day

Seminary canceled again today. Yesterday I went home teaching to Grainger County. Had to use 4L going up and down some hills because of the ice in some hollers. I loved it!

Today I had to forecast weather which is usually no fun at all, and all my own real work just piles up on my desk while I'm out in the operations area being wrong. But today I was also preparing for a big weather talk to the Sequoyah Boy Scout Council in Johnson City. Spent all day trying to get our stupid laptop to run the power point talk, and it kept hanging. Finally, I called the guy to see if he had a laptop I could use and he said, sheepishly, "Would you mind if we postponed the talk? I've already had all my Virginia people bug out on me because they can't get out of their drives and there is more snow forecast for tonight." Wonderful! Seriously. I was so relieved.

Then I came home and they canceled school for tomorrow, too, so no seminary again. I have to forecast again which means I'll be wrong all day again, but at least there is no talk to distract me from my feelings of inadequate self esteem. Hey...

Between my bike ride and weights I went 20 miles tonight. This brings me to The Coho Cafe and the nearby pride-of-the-arrowhead-of-Minnesota Northshore Commercial Fishing Museum. I'd skip the museum and eat at the Coho, personally. 556 miles with 70 miles to the Canadian border and 102 to Thunder Bay. Can't believe I'm so close. I took a long time off to just sit and watch tv and feel sorry for myself, so it's been since July that I've been riding.
