Tennessee 31, South Carolina 13

Went with Mike Moffat to the Tennessee-South Carolina game at Neyland Stadium tonight. Loni went, too, with her friend Chris. Dave Durfey took his son Carter and we all sat in different parts of the stadium. It was a small crowd because of the rain, only 96,000 people. That's about 4000 more people than the official population of Sparks, or about 3x the population of Draper. Or 1.5 times the population of Hamblen County, TN. It was loud. It was also a rout, which was nice. Tennessee is the best unranked team in the country.

Rode 18 miles today to Warrens, WI. Finally got off Interstate 90 onto Interstate 94.

Friday night at the ward chili cookoff, I made a pot of hickory smoked chicken chili with black and white beans, etc. I thought it was bland. Several people commented on how good it was, and they ate about 2/3 of it. I won an award. Get this: "The What Is It?" Award. Got a certificate to prove it. Threw it away, though. I mean, really. I was a judge and voted against my own chili. Couldn't figure out what it was.

Dave Durfey and I had a bet on this week's Dirty Dawg national for fun only college football pool. Loser buys the other couple dinner. I squeaked past him by a couple points. But, as they say, a couple points is a couple points.

Better go to bed. Even though I turned the clocks back an hour, it's still almost 3 a.m. I'm reading "Eaters of the Dead" and getting to the scary part now.

I wish I could have tasted your "what is it" chili! Our ward had soup and breadsticks for Trunk or Treat (and not a cook-off, just provided by the Activities committee). They only had two choices of soup...chicken noodle and cream of broccoli. My bowl of chicken noodle was lacking chicken.

Jamee, you should hear what I call her. The other day we were grossing Loni out. It was fun. In fact, it never gets old. It's our way of getting revenge on those who used to live with us as teenagers.
