Did a quick 17 miles tonight. It feels good. But I got light headed. What's up with that? Then I got ready, and was starting my post when Cindy called. We talked about stuff for a few minutes, but I had to leave. Sorry to have put you off, hon. I had to walk out the door. (Oh, and get a load of the map on the left, the local area I'm riding through now. Notice the complete absence of towns or civilization or fast food. Also, notice how all the roads are straight e-w, n-s. Also, of not is the fact that the interstate makes a bee line from Indy to Chicago as if to say, "Get me out of here to a place where I can eat some sushi and go to a museum and see a play.")
Now I'm at work, and guess what? It's raining. We had some flooding in Chattanooga earlier in the evening. Just now a little kid called from Russelville, scared, wanting to know if were were going to get severe weather tonight. He was all afraid. Poor kid. I'm sure his parents told him to call and get re-assured.
Oh, and Cindy? I took the last of the freezer jam and I'm going to eat it all tonight. YES!
Today Loni and I went to west Knoxville to sign the lease for her apartment. It's in a gated community and it's NICE. I'd live there but the rent is more than our mortgage. Good thing we only help her pay her share. Swimming pool, 24 fitness center, nice view, across the street from Pellissippi State College, ten minutes from West Hills Mall and ten minutes from Oak Ridge. Brand new.
I have not moved all that wood, yet, because of the rain, and then I had mids and got tired. Loni is going to help me with it.
