No luck today. Food poisoning.

I cooked the last of the potatoes this morning for breakfast. Then I took a shower and lost it all in the shower. Food poisoning. Horrible. Miserable. But I had a big speech in Oak Ridge at 10 a.m. to about 200 managers (pin stripe types) for the Department of Energy. So I went on over to teach seminary (you want some fun? count the number of you/your/thou's etc and the number of we/us etc in each of Alma 9-13. See how the emphasis changes depending on who they are talking to.) Then I went to my talk in OR. Went better than I thought it would. Had 'em rolling in the aisles, laughing.

Then I came home and got sick all over again. Then I took a nap and Cindy came home and I got sick all over again. No connection, I'm sure. Horace McKinney's funeral is tonight, but I just can't make it, what with sucking up a house an all. If you don't understand that Boyd family-ism, don't ask. Cindy is going to the viewing and then the YW are giving Amy Franks a bridal shower. She's marrying Jeff Fredline, you know, in the Nashville Temple. Good for them.

I'll not be riding to Thunder Bay tonight. Stuck near the intersection of Boy Scout Road and King's Highway 61.

I have, however chosen my next destination. I am going to Fairbanks, but in smaller pieces. First I'm going to Winnipeg, Manitoba to see a Crash Test Dummies concert. They are from Winnipeg.

Got to run, pun intended.

Thanks, Jamee. I'm better this morning. Enough to go to work. People who have had food poisoning can understand and they never forget. It's not a stomach bug. I know people who claim they have had it, but when they REALLY get it, they are shocked beyond words. I threw the rest of the potatoes out. I loved potatoes. I'll not eat them for a while. But I do LOVE Papa John's pizza...
